Track Bar housing development works on Region Seven 60 per cent complete
Infrastructure works at the new Track Bar housing development in Region Seven are now 60 per cent complete, with the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) aiming to show applicants their house lots before the end of the year.
Minister of Housing Collin Croal provided the update during a site inspection. He exMinister of Housing, Collin Croal and team from the CH&PA inspecting ongoing housing development works in Bartica, Region Sevenplained that construction must advance further before land identification can begin.
“We are about 60 percent complete with the infrastructure work, so we are not able to be able to show persons their land, but we are pushing ahead because we want to be able to do so before the year is finished,” he said.
Meanwhile, persons allocated land at Bartica Extension South are expected to begin accessing their lots from mid-November.
Surveyors from CH&PA will contact applicants to arrange visits to identify their land.
The minister also urged applicants to have their lots confirmed by CH&PA surveyors before starting construction, following concerns about people building on the wrong plots.
“We have always said to persons, ensure that you are shown by the surveyors of CHPA your lot before assuming that is your lot,” he said.

He cautioned against relying solely on a housing scheme plan to identify a property.
The minister said the authority has reviewed its procedures across departments to improve its work, in keeping with President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali’s push for greater use of technology, easier access to services and increased transparency.
